Art Deco Style Oval Opal Ring

Rings:

It is extremely important to order the correct ring size, as I currently do not offer resizing.

Please read all the item details, to ensure you are informed of all sizing information.

If you don't know your ring size, I offer a reusable ring sizer that many customers have found helpful.  You can also be sized at your local jeweler.

Necklaces:

Most of my necklaces come with an extender chain, to wear at various chain lengths.  The most popular chain length is 18 - 20"

Bangle Bracelet:

This type of bracelet is either a closed circle or oval shape, meant to be worn by sliding over the hand. 

Measure around the widest part of your hand, with your thumb folded towards palm (as if you're sliding the bracelet on), then choose the circumference which will fit you best.

•  7" circumference || 2.23" diameter
•  7.5" circumference || 2.39" diameter
•  8" circumference || 2.54" diameter
•  8.5" circumference || 2.71" diameter
•  9" circumference || 2.86" diameter

Cuff Bracelet:

This type of bracelet has an open area for you to slide your wrist through, then turn the bracelet to fit and squeeze gently. Cuffs are usually worn snug.

Measure tightly around your wrist, either above or below your wrist bone (where you plan to wear the cuff). For a snug fit, choose the same circumference as your wrist. For a slightly looser fit, choose a cuff circumference 1/2" larger than your wrist size.

•  Small || 6-1/2" circumference
•  Medium || 7" circumference (average size)
•  Large || 7-1/2" circumference
•  X-Large || 8" circumference

Beaded Bracelet:

This type of bracelet is strung on wire and finished with a clasp. 

Measure tightly around your wrist below your wrist bone. Typically, choose a bracelet length 1/2" larger than your wrist size.

How long does it take to get my jewelry?

Items that are marked 'ready to ship' will be shipped in 1-3 business days.  All 'made-to-order' items are crafted by hand to your specifications, after purchase has been completed.  Because of this and the great care that goes into making your special piece, production time is about 3 weeks.  This does not include shipping time.  If my production time goes over 3 weeks, due to order volume, I will make note of it in the announcement bar at the top of the webpage.

I got a notification that my order has been shipped, but the tracking says "shipping label created" and no other information.  Where is the rest of the tracking information?

This seems to be a growing problem with the USPS.  They are not updating their tracking information at all or days later.  Please know that the day you receive your shipping notification is the exact same day I physically drop your order off at the post office.  If it has been over a week (domestic only) and you still haven't received your package, then it is time to contact the USPS.

This is a gift.  Can I send it directly to the recipient?

Yes, you sure can!  Just make sure you have entered the correct shipping address of the recipient. If you'd like to include a gift message, you may write it in the notes section at checkout.  All orders come packaged in a cute gift box with a bow.

How do I find my ring size?

Going to your local jeweler to get sized is the best option, but many have had success using my Reusable Ring Sizer.  You can purchase one from my shop ( https://bit.ly/2CYGJID ) to insure you order the correct size.  There is no resizing on rings.

When ordering rings that will be stacked, do I need to size up?

Not at all! Go ahead and order your true ring size and I will do all the math to accommodate for stacking.

What size stones do you use and how wide are the ring bands?

I know how difficult it can be to shop online, without seeing an item in person.  Also, because I photograph my pieces with a professional DSLR camera, macro lens, and crop in very close, it can cause the piece to be enlarged, appearing larger than it is.  It also shows details that are not necessarily seen with the naked eye.  For this reason, I list all measurements in the description of each listing, so please refer to a ruler for measurements.

What is 14k gold-filled?

14k gold-filled contains a layer of 14k gold that has been bonded by pressure to a base metal.  The layer of gold is 100x thicker than plated jewelry.  It will not peel or flake off.  It is a wonderful, less expensive alternative to 14k solid gold.

Things to note about 14k gold-filled pieces: I use 14k yellow gold solder for all my gold rings. Because of the layer of gold on the pieces, I can not perfectly sand/file down the solder joints, as it will expose the base metal underneath.  You will see a slight difference in color, but it will be at the bottom of the ring and not visible, when wearing it. Please understand this, when purchasing 14k gold-filled items.

What are the lab opals you use in your designs?

The opals I use are certified by the GIA as being a true synthetic opal, which means it has all the properties of a natural opal. The colors in the opal are produced by the light and are not dyed or produced artificially. The difference between synthetic and natural opal, is that the slow process that a natural opal goes through is sped up in a lab for about a year to produce synthetic opals. Because they contain at least 80% silica, they are not as fragile as natural opals and will not crack, dry out, yellow, or lose its fire over time. These qualities make them a great alternative for everyday jewelry. Plus, the colors they come in are amazing! I work directly with the opal manufacturer to have them custom made to my specifications.

My jewelry has tarnished.  What do I do?

It is extremely important to treat your jewelry with care.  It is never advisable to wear your jewelry while swimming, cleaning, bathing, or while wearing lotions, perfumes, or oils.  Chemical reactions can happen with metals, so it's best if you wipe your jewelry with a polishing cloth after each wear and store it in a small baggie or the box it came in.  If your piece has tarnished, simply use a polishing cloth to clean it right off.  If the tarnish is a bit stubborn, combine warm water with a bit of liquid dishwashing soap (Dawn is great brand).  Use a soft toothbrush to gently brush your piece.

How many people work at LE Jewelry Designs?

Just one! Lauren (me!) is the sole woman behind the brand.  I do everything from making your piece, to packaging it, to ordering supplies, to managing all social media, to answering all correspondence.

Your jewelry is designed for daily wear, but proper care is needed to maintain its beauty:

• Avoid direct contact with lotions, perfumes, and cosmetics.  Apply these products and allow them to dry before wearing your jewelry. 
• Remove jewelry before swimming, bathing, cleaning, exercising, gardening, or engaging in similar activities. 
• Sweat, skin oils, lotions, and soaps can dull the appearance of your jewelry. To restore its shine, clean with mild detergent and a soft brush, or use the included polishing cloth/pad
• To prevent tarnishing, wipe the jewelry clean and store it in an airtight bag or the original box after each use.

For pieces that have darkened lettering:  

Though this is not my process, here is an easy at home DIY to darken faded letters on your jewelry. 

• Use a black Sharpie marker to fill them in.
• Let it dry for 10 minutes, then repeat the process.
• Once dry, wipe away any excess marker with an alcohol wipe or the included polish pad.

Mood Jewelry: 

• Avoid getting your mood jewelry wet, as moisture can stop the color-changing effects from working.

Cancellation Policy:

There are no cancellations on made-to-order (MTO) items. Once your order is confirmed, it immediately enters production, where materials are crafted to your specific requirements. This custom process means that cancellations are not possible.

Return Policy:

Due to the custom nature of my designs, returns are not accepted, unless there is an error on my part.

For ready-to-ship items, you may return them within 7 days of purchase for store credit only.

You must contact me first, before sending any items back. If your return is accepted, I will email you instructions on how and where to send the item.

To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused, in the same condition as when you received it, in its original packaging, and have proof of purchase or receipt. Damaged items cannot be accepted for return.

Please note that the customer is responsible for shipping costs both to and from the return location.

Please do not send your purchase back to me, unless I have agreed to it.

Refund Process:

If I have agreed to accept your return, once it is received and inspected, I will notify you by email that I have received the returned item. You will also be informed of the approval or rejection of your refund. If your return is approved, a refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within a certain number of days.

Late or Missing Refunds (if applicable):

If you haven’t received your refund yet, please follow these steps:

1. Check your bank account again.
2. Contact your credit card company; it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
3. Contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
4. If you’ve done all of this and still haven’t received your refund, please contact me at lauren@lejewelrydesigns.com.

Sale Items (if applicable):

Only regular-priced items may be refunded. Unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges: (if applicable)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.

Gifts 

If the item was marked as a gift, when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be emailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

Shipping:

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. If you shipping for an exchanged product, you will be responsible for the shipping costs for me to send it back to you.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary. If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
